Catalyst invests in CA library workers by equipping & supporting them with development opportunities that support leading from everywhere.
Catalyst is a leadership program for California library workers. Members of the Catalyst cohort use online and in-person learning to explore, reflect upon, and work on projects to apply hands-on new skills and ideas. Throughout the program cycle, participants network and receive mentoring and coaching to deepen their learning.
As library futures change, library leadership must focus on clear skills, including communication, community engagement, inclusion, and analytic problem solving, and put equity at the core of library work.
Catalyst is part of California Libraries Learn (CALL), a collaborative project of the California Library Association and the California State Library, and is supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
